Terms and Conditions

 

These are the terms and conditions that Southern Safety Services (SSS) adheres to when making decisions regarding our safety training courses. SSS reserves the right to makes changes to these policies at any time and can choose to waive fees associated with rescheduling and/or cancellations.

 

Substitutions or No Shows

We do allow for name substitutions of paid registrations on the same class date if SSS is notified in advance of the class date; however, no shows are non-refundable and non-negotiable. Failure to notify us in advance may require additional payment as a late registration and/or walk-in.

 

Late Registrations and/or Walk-ins

Late registrations and/or walk-ins may be allowed on the class date if the class maximum limit has not been reached and the class has not yet started. A credit card payment is the only approved method of payment for walk-ins. Call the SSS office at 770-897-9955 to obtain approval for any late registration or walk-in students.  Our office will notify the instructor by text or telephone to allow the additional student(s) in the class. Please note: our instructors are not allowed to accept any form of payment.

 

Rescheduling and Cancellation Policy

 

Rescheduling

To reschedule a class date, SSS office must be notified in writing five (5) business days prior to the scheduled course date. The exceptions to this include the NPDES / Soil Erosion classes which require ten (10) business days prior to the course date. Your company is responsible to ensure confirmation of all rescheduling request. Failure to notify the SSS office of intent to reschedule a course within the time frame stated above, will be assessed at 30% of the class total and is non-refundable, non-negotiable, and non-transferable. With advanced notification received, the following fees apply for all rescheduled courses is as follows with a minimum charge of $50:

1st Time Rescheduled             10% of class total

2nd Time Rescheduled             20% of class total

3rd Time+ Rescheduled             30% of class total

If a class is subject to rescheduling through no fault of SSS or the weather or driving conditions the above policy will not apply.

 

Cancellations

To cancel a class date, the SSS office must be notified in writing five (5) business days prior to the scheduled course date. The exceptions to this include the NPDES / Soil Erosion classes which require ten (10) business days prior to the course date. Your company is responsible to ensure confirmation of all cancelled request.

With advanced notification received the following fees apply for all cancelled courses, is as follows, with a minimum charge of $50:

    31 days prior to scheduled class        20% of class total

    22 - 30 days prior to scheduled class        30% of class total

    15 - 21 days prior to scheduled class        40% of class total

    8 - 14 days prior to scheduled class        50% of class total

    7 days or less to scheduled class        100% of class total

Failure to notify the SSS office of intent to cancel a course, will result in a non-refundable, non-negotiable, and non-transferable of payments previously received. For all courses which have been rescheduled the above cancellation fees will not apply and will result in a non-refundable, non-negotiable, and non-transferable of paid course fees.

 

Online Registration Course Fee Review

Please note all online registrations are subject to review for accuracy. If there are any discrepancies you will be invoiced with the price adjustment. Course certification cards will not be hand delivered or mailed until payment is complete.

 

Credit Card Chargeback Policy

In the event of a dispute submitted to your financial institution regarding services rendered by SSS, if the dispute is disproven you will incur additional fees above and beyond the initial charge: 5% of the total fee or a minimum of $50; whichever is greater.

 

Weather and Driving Conditions

In cases of inclement weather, (restrictive driving or flight conditions due to weather) courses conducted by SSS may be cancelled or rescheduled. We have a strict policy to never put our instructors in dangerous driving of flight conditions. Any courses cancelled by SSS are subject to rescheduling immediately on a date and time agreed by both parties within 60 days of the original scheduled date.

 

If weather conditions prohibit a paid registrant from attending a scheduled course, then the paid registrant has the responsibility to attend a course within 6 months of the original registered class date. If a class is not attended within 6 months of the original registered class date the paid course fees will be non-refundable, non-negotiable, and non-transferable.

 

Travel Expenses

SSS is not responsible for any travel expense you may incur and recommends that you contact our office at 770-897-9955 prior to making any travel arrangements.

 

Language

Classes will be taught in only in English unless a bilingual instructor is requested and available. It is an individual’s and or the company’s responsibility to ensure that all students can read, write, and comprehend the language in which the course is taught. Failure to do so could jeopardize a successful completion of the course that student is attending.

 

Consent to Electronic Communications and Solicitation

 

By registering with Southern Safety Services, you understand that we may send you communications or data regarding our Services, including but not limited to (a) notices about safety training courses you are registering for, (b) notifications for renewal of safety training classes, (c) newsletters and other safety information, and (d) promotional information and materials regarding Southern Safety Services products and services, via electronic mail. We give you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving electronic mail from us by following the opt-out instructions provided in the message.
