The information that Crane Safety provides students will also be reinforced with a hands-on field application session. The program covers items such as, operators responsibilities, safe and efficient operating techniques, rigging fundamentals, proper crane setup, and accident prevention. Individuals attending this program will gain sufficient knowledge and useful skills that will leave them with a stronger understanding and appreciation for the responsibilities of Mobile Crane Operators.

This program is designed to help a person who has little or no experience with mobile crane operation.  The course helps establish good operating practices while gaining seat-time and real-life operating experience for the participant.  Participants will conduct pre-operational inspections of hydraulic and/or lattice/conventional cranes.  Each will be given individual instruction regarding crane operating basics and will gain seat-time while handling and empty and loaded hook.

Overhead Crane Training

OSHA 1910.179 and ANSI B30.2 requires training for overhead cranes operators and operators of hoists. Crane Safety can help your overhead crane operators gain the skills they need to inspect their equipment properly and detect possible issues or safety concerns before they cause a real problem. The Overhead Crane Training program includes topics on how to safely lift and lower loads, how to signal, crane and hoist inspections, rigging requirements, sling angles, and how to avoid accidents. This training gives participants the working knowledge to assist in reducing operator errors that could lead to unnecessary downtime.
