Southern Safety Services (SSS) knows how important it is for employees to not only understand medical emergencies but to also know how to appropriately respond to these emergencies. CPR, First Aid procedures, heart stopping (AED), as well as Bloodborne Pathogens exposer. Courses are designed to provide general information on basic life saving techniques, first aid techniques, how to use a automated external defibrillator (AED), and OSHA's requirements for exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials. Each of these training courses helps save lives!

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

Every minute counts! Statistics prove that most victims of cardiac arrest could be saved if more people knew CPR. Our CPR program is based on the American Heart Association's techniques for adult workplace choking and rescue breathing. With an emphasis on hands-on applications each worker will learn necessary skills to respond to and manage choking or cardiac arrest emergencies. Also included in this training is the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) .

First Aid

Knowing appropriate First Aid procedures saves lives, reduces the number and severity of injuries, and promotes recovery! Although a fully stocked and functional First Aid Kit may be present without proper training that can be useless; with this training you become the tool that saves lives. This program gives workers the knowledge and expertise needed to do just that; recognize and provide basic care for injuries and/or sudden illnesses. Our training is strictly intended to serve as an educational resource for workers involved in activities that may call for emergency medical services.

Automated External Defribllator (AED)

In case there is an emergancy in which someone's heart stops you need to know how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) to restart their heart. The power to save someone's life can not be taken lightly.

Bloodborne Pathogens

Simply put, bloodborne pathogens are infectious microorganisms in human blood that can cause disease in humans. Unprotected exposure to bodily fluids presents the possible risk of infection from a number of different bloodborne pathogens such as Hepatitis and HIV. Our training not only provides workers with an awareness and basic understanding of bloodborne pathogens but also how these pathogens are spread and how to prevent exposure. Topics include, but are not limited to, personal protective equipment, proper labeling, common modes of transmission, methods of prevention, personal hygiene, etc.
